Bermuda often gets the not so coveted title of being the most expensive country in the world. This is surprising to many travelers as they don’t realize how much a vacation to this little island will cost until they get there. When traveling to Bermuda there will probably be a lot of things you want to see while you are there. Because of this, there’s a good chance you won’t be spending a lot of time in your room anyways. Staying at a cheaper hotel is a great way to save money. Just make sure you read the reviews before booking a stay so that you can make sure that it’s adequate for your needs and it’s located in a safe area. Airbnb is starting to gain popularity in Bermuda which allows travelers to stay at a decent place while getting a good rate. Something to keep in mind though is that if you are the type of traveler that likes to hang out at your hotel a lot and utilize the amenities, you may want to splurge a little in this category since you will be saving money when it comes to activities anyways as you won’t be doing as much.

There’s no need to spend a lot of money on food while you are in Bermuda. In fact, some of the best food can be found at hole in the wall establishments that are frequented by the locals. If you aren’t sure where to go, ask a local! It is, however, a good idea to splurge for one meal, perhaps on the last night of your trip.

For the most part, the craftsmanship is different than it is in the United States and you will be able to purchase some interesting finds. Just make sure though that you can easily fit it all in your suitcase or you might have to leave something behind.
